an utter waste of time as it may seem to be visiting the jobs fair given that i already have a full time job of my own.

well i just had to go to have a look at what's there. a hirer asked me quite a number of questions and that got me thinking. well they were rather basic questions but these are questions that we jolly well know yet refuse to start asking ourselves.

he asked:
- 5 years down the road and do you picture yourself doing that?
- is this what you really want in life?
- do you not want to be at the mercy of your boss but start doing things that will pave the way for you to make money that is worth your worth?

the 5 years things really spiked me.

well, i know i'm still fresh in the current market. i havent thought of a path for myself. throughout the conversation, he kept pressing me, so what do you want to achieve in 5 years. i cant. i  just cant give him an answer. and each time he asked i will jokingly reply that i would love to sit at home and food will miraculously appear in front of me. SUPER lame i know, but... i've lost the tenacity i used to have. i've lost the want, the drive, the motivation, to get what i want, when i'm at a lost of what i want.

i want to see the world. BUT to be able to do that i need to have the time and money. i have the time but do not have the money. till the day i have the money, i no longer have the time. so how? i do not want to be some rich CEOs who have all the money in the world but when they decide to see the world, they realise their legs could no longer carry them. they could not smile as brilliantly as before when they pose for photos.

i do not want to be like them!

but as girls, i guess, what we really want or at least i think i would want, is to have just that someone whom i can come home to, make me smile, to talk to me about anything in world, to understand me, to give me a hug when i feel terrible and when just his hug alone would take all my troubles away. at least when i come out of the hug i will have the strength to face the problem i have and have it worked out.

5 years is not a long time nor is it a short time. different people can achieve different things in 5 years.

right now, all i know is, i'll do ALL i can to be happy, get the paper qualification that everyone hopes i will get and yes, last of all is to still BE happy.
